![]() This week we had a group project where we had to create a website for the unit we have created. My group met a total of two times through Zoom and kept constant contact through text messages. We agreed that Steven would take the Home page and Comments & Questions, I would take the Course Material, Teresa had Assignments, and William had Resources. I will have to admit that in the beginning of the project it all seemed easy to comply with. Unfortunately, the more we got to work on it, the more complicated things got for us. Setting up the Weebly page was the easy part for me. The moment I invited the rest of my group member to edit the page is where things began to get tricky. It took us two days to have everyone be a part of the editor group for our website. It was in that moment that I decided Weebly is not user friendly when working as a group. When we were editing, the website would not allow more than one person on the same tab. Personally, I believe edits are easier as a group when we can all see the same screen. Therefore, Weebly was not my favorite tool to use for this group project, but I do enjoy it when working on a website independently. On a plus side, working on the Course Materials page was a bit more stress free. I will admit that sometimes things would not properly link or change a certain color, which I then had to get someone from my group to assist with that. Other than that, I decided to set up the page based on the days the lessons would be taught. I then inserted all of the material that would be used in the order the teacher would use it in the classroom. The setup idea came from my own personal classroom experience. Second grade students do better when things are listed in order and on a list. This also provides a great review for those that missed a day. All they have to do is go to the page and complete assignments from home. Overall, this group project consisted of a lot of challenges. My group and I conquered the trials and persevered by having a positive attitude and getting it all figured out. View our website

Paulette, I agree with you 100%. Weebly is not ideal for collaboration. Additionally, there were issues getting access as editors when we already had accounts. It took us multiple time trying to get access and Teresa and William had to use different browsers.
